Rob Roy Hotel ***
The Rob Roy Hotel is wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and is set within Scotland’s first National Park. The picturesque village of Aberfoyle is but a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River from the hotel.
Features include:
- All 100 guest rooms are en-suite with colour TV and tea / coffee making facilities.
- Thistle Bar.
- Tartan Tea Rooms Restaurant.
- Ballroom.
- Most rooms on ground floor and lift access to first floor rooms.
The restaurant at the Rob Roy is in a separate building joined by a covered walkway.
All rooms except 2 doubles have walk in showers.
ARRIVAL
The cark park is flat and level. There are designated disabled parking bays adjacent to the front entrance. The grounds are level, although it is necessary to use a flight of 2 steps to access the reception from the main entrance. From the side entrance it is possible to access reception via 1 step. The reception desk has a lowered section.
PUBLIC AREAS
The Thistle bar and Tartan Room Restaurant are all on one level. The Ballroom Restaurant is accessed via 2 steps but a ramp is available at all time for wheelchair users. Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s toilets are both located on the ground floor in the bar close to reception, as is the Disabled WC in the Tartan Room.
ACCOMMODATION
All our bedrooms are in a separate annex building located 50 yards from the main hotel and can be accessed via covered walkway. All bedrooms are easily accessible with 52 of them located on the ground floor and a further 53 on the 1st floor. There is a lift to access all 1st floor rooms.
We have 2 bedrooms in the second part of the building on the ground floor which been modified to be accessible with a wheel chair. These rooms have wet room showers, wider doors and low switches. We also have bedrooms 2 bedrooms in the first part of the building on the ground floor which have wide open showers with handrails. These rooms can be very helpful for people with walking difficulties.
